The location of the hotel is nice, short walk to restaurants and major attractions eg National Gallery, Parliament House, attractions and resturants and Manuka Oval, walking distance. There is nearby Jimbo's Quality Seafood to grab some food for the dinner.

The room felt like a cozy home away from home! Spacious and clean with a huge kitchen, I loved having all the cooking essentials at my fingertips. Snuggling into the comfy bed after a long day of sightseeing was just perfect.
The only access to rooms was via stairs; a lift would have been nice with bags.

Easy walking distance to the events we were attending.
We were allocated an underrcover car space and then found someone else parked in it. All the visitors spots were full so it meant we had to park outside in the rain which meant moving all our bags inside while getting wet. When I spoke with the building manager we were allocated other spots...which also had cars in them. It meant getting wet which was a bad start to our stay.

Enjoyed the stay, it was really great for three nights. The food was reasonably priced - a huge variety of options. The breakfast was great, the check in was convenient. Could use their convenient parking...

Overall clean and roomy with very good kitchen. Bathroom adequate as were bedrooms. Beds were good.
Shower over bath was just ok, lights in bedrooms not working or disconnected. Aircon was fine in lounge and kitchen but not so good in bedrooms.

The location was magnificent and unbeatable, for example, Kingston Mall was just a pleasant stroll away from the hotel. Also it was a short walk to bars and cafés. The rooms were good sized as for me, with a balcony.
Could not be improved in any way.

The location is a gem—close to killer spots for chow like Pizza Arte and Agostinis. And can we talk about that balcony view? Pure gold! Plus, the ground-floor setup made hauling luggage a breeze.
A bit of a letdown with the kitchen; the stove knobs were greasy and the setup felt a tad old-school.

Closeness to restaurants in Kingston - nice staff
Hair dryer didn't work; carpet on stairs up to apartment needed a good vacuum; tired painted brick interior - surprised at the price for this

Owner offered to drive me to work when taxi was taking ages! Nice guy.
As with much Canberra accomodation, the price can be quite high compared to other cities. However Oxley were very good overall.
